Focus on Traineeships

Nationally, models of delivery have been varied and delivery has been managed by a range of different providers including FE, Training Providers and Employers. Provision has generally been small but with a focus on high quality.

Maths and English has generally been addressed through the provision of Functional Skills and GCSE in line with the Government’s drive to improve standards.

One Awards - Supporting Traineeships

Designed with people in mind, our NOCN qualifications offer a step-by-step, unit-by-unit route into learning and skills that help to increase learners’ confidence and employability and make sure that the qualifications fit with today’s industry needs.

We are well placed to provide flexible accreditation solutions in support of this initiative. One Awards/NOCN can provide the ideal way to start your preparations for delivering high-quality Traineeships or to develop your existing pathways.

How our Qualifications and accreditation can add value

  • Qualifications and units clearly motivate and engage Trainees.
  • Employers may be engaged by the flexibility of our qualifications and units and the value added to their business.
  • They support progression to employment and Apprenticeship destinations.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning can reduce delivery costs.
  • Our flexible qualifications and units can provide customised solutions for both Trainees and Employers.
  • Maths and English Stepping Stone Awards and units may be offered to Trainees in preparation for Functional Skills.
  • Development of Bespoke units of accreditation, a popular service provided by One Awards, may provide a customised approach to meeting specific employer requirements whilst accrediting learner achievement.

Once a learner portfolio has been externally verified, we have found that the certificate arrived within weeks. This is a huge improvement on other awarding bodies which would usually take months
