No Time for Qualifications..... Try Single Funded Units Instead!!

The delivery of units to unemployed learners is part of the flexibilities available under the Single Adult Skills Budget (SASB) covering mainstream delivery to 19+ learners.

Why not take a look
We’ve updated our units offer for 2015/2016 and the details can be found on the spreadsheet available by clicking the link below:

QCF Units confirmed for funding 2015-2016 - excel spreadsheet

*We’ve tried to provide a comprehensive list and have included all of the units we feel would be most popular to our centres but if there are other units of interest not included please contact us and we’ll be happy to check the funding status of these.

The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) will fund stand-alone units from the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) when delivered to eligible unemployed learners and through provision delivered as part of the Offender Learning and Skills Service (OLASS) and the Joint Investment Programme.

Units can also be funded as part of ESF Response to Redundancy.

  • Funding band determined by the unit credit value

Learners who may benefit from the delivery of single units include:

  • Unemployed people who need short programmes to support them back to work
  • Older workers who have been doing their jobs for a number of years and the skill needs are changing
  • Learners who aspire to do a full qualification but need to boost their confidence before committing to the full qualification
