One Awards honoured at North East Women Entrepreneur Awards

The achievements of the region’s top female business leaders have been celebrated once again at the annual North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
The Awards are now in their 15th year and bring together high-flying women from a variety of sectors across the North East and are open to any woman who is operating a woman-owned/women-led business in the North East of England.The judges looked for outstanding qualities and achievements in their finalists including great influence within their industry or community, investment in people, impact on their business and community, number of jobs created, sustained profitability, longevity and potential for growth.
High quality entries were submitted from a variety of sectors and One Awards Chief Executive, Louise Morritt and Deputy Chief Executive, Linden Cook were finalists for the The Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship and Key Woman of the Year respectively.

Linden Cook was runner up in Key Woman of the Year category given to a woman in a senior position playing a key role in the transformation, development or growth of a business or organisation.
Louise Morritt says: “At the heart of One Awards lies a genuine desire to make a real difference to the lives of adult learners across the UK – as well as here in the North East. We are delighted and honoured to be finalists in the WIN Awards.”
Linden Cook says: “The thousands of learners passing through our growing network of member organisations underline the valuable and lasting legacy we play a part in creating. We are thrilled that our contribution to learning at One Awards is being recognised and celebrated.”
