One Awards Head of Quality celebrates 20 years service

Jennie Lawson (pictured right), Head of Quality at One Awards, celebrated 20 years with the organisation this month. Jennie started her career with Teesside Region Open College Network (TROCN) in February 2000 as a Moderation Co-ordinator. Since then the organisation has evolved from TROCN to OCN North East Region to One Awards and became part of the NOCN Group in 2018. Over this time Jennie has undertaken a variety of roles including Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Accreditation Manager, Access to HE Manager and even took up the responsibility of Interim Chief Executive for a short while in 2017.
Fabienne Bailey, Managing Director at One Awards, said this is a fantastic achievement, we are proud to have long serving members of staff and Jennie has made such a positive impact within One Awards and the wider NOCN Group.
Jennie said “It has been an incredible 20 years working for TROCN, OCNNER and One Awards. I was overwhelmingly lucky to find myself in the right place at the right time in February 2000 which led to some amazing opportunities to do things I never thought I could, both professionally and personally, and to work for an organisation I am so proud to be part of.”
