New One Awards Units - The Safe use of Technologies

Following the recent review, Ofsted was asked, among other things, to evaluate the extent to which Learning Providers teach Students to adopt safe and responsible practices in using new technologies; in response increased demand from our members, One Awards have developed a suite of accredited units from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2 aimed at addressing this need. Widely used within Foundation Learning by colleges of FE, the units are now attracting a much broader appeal.
Understanding the Safe and Secure Use of IT in the Workplace
With the ever increasing use of mobile technology and social media, this 2 credit unit which is available from Entry Level 1 to Level 2 will develop the learner's understanding of the use of mobile technologies and social networking websites within the workplace. The unit explores the differences between appropriate and inappropriate uses of workplace-based mobile technologies and social networking
