Celebration of Learning Awards 2020, Open for Nominations!

We are pleased to announce nominations are open for our Celebration of Learning Awards. These Awards recognise best practice, originality and not least, achievement within learning. Our Awards focus on learners, and the people and organisations that have enabled innovative and often life-changing learning to take place in many diverse venues throughout our region and beyond.
The specific Award categories aim to highlight individuals, educational providers and community organisations that achieve, innovate and strive for excellence in education.
- Personal Progress (LDD)
- Young Learner
- Commitment to Learning
- Collaborative Learning - Learning Group
- Learners’ Choice – Tutor Award
- Innovative use of the One Awards Quality Mark
- Outstanding Provision of One Awards Learning
- Outstanding Provision of NOCN Learning
By recognising, rewarding and publicising these endeavours and achievements, One Awards aims to raise awareness of the high quality of education that has continued to be delivered throughout the region during the last 25 years. Through our merge into NOCN Group in 2018, we now have many members outside of the North East and they will also have the opportunity to be recognised in this celebration.
Entry Requirements
- Centres must be a current One Awards Member organisation
- Tutors must be currently employed by a Member Organisation
- Learners must have completed a course accredited by NOCN or One Awards and have received their Certificate (or provide proof of a signed RAC if the Certificate has not yet been received).
- Nominees must agree to their story being used by One Awards for promotional purposes and be willing to sign the release statement to facilitate this.
Judging
The Judging Panel will consist of a member of the Board of Trustees, External Verifier, Access Moderator and One Awards staff. All awards will be considered against the published criteria.
