Rules of Combination

All Access to HE Diplomas follow strict QAA requirements in relation to diploma structure, management and quality assurance.

One Awards works in partnership with Access providers and HE Institutions to develop Access to HE Diplomas which meet the needs of students. We also offer an extensive programme of training and online resources to support delivery, assessment and quality assurance.

Each diploma is composed of a number of units with a level and credit value.Students must achieve 60 credits in total. 15 of the credits are from ungraded units and 45 are graded and are awarded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.

All graded units must have academic content related to the subject title of the diploma and the academic content is defined by the learning outcomes. For a full copy of the QAA The Access to Higher Education Diploma Specification please click on the document title to download.

“One Awards' innovative results service has been a fantastic development for universities and allows us to check students' achievement immediately ourselves. This is an excellent service which means that we are able to confirm student places quickly and effectively without having to follow up with providers and students or wait for results to be sent on to us. This is because their certification turnaround time of less than two days allows One Awards to process student results almost as soon as the colleges/providers have provided the final verified results. This really does help us put students at the heart of our confirmation process”.
