NOCN MENU

Certification Changes effective 1st March 2022

NOCN Group is fully committed to reviewing our processes to improve your experience of working with us as your chosen Awarding Organisation. One of our main areas of focus is the production and issue of certificates.

For some qualifications NOCN currently still issue two separate certificates when a learner achieves:

  1. A qualification certificate that consists of two pages. The first page contains the main certificate detail and shows the name and regulator reference of the qualification in addition to the learner’s full name. The second page of the certificate details a full list of units that the learner has achieved, along with their credit value and regulatory reference
  2. A unit certificate which details a full list of units that the learner has achieved. This information is a duplication of what the learner receives on the second page of the qualification certificate.

Following a review of the process, One Awards will be changing the way we issue certificates from the 1st March 2022

When a learner achieves an NOCN qualification they will continue to receive the two-page qualification certificate which contains the full details of all units achieved, but will no longer receive a separate unit certificate.

If a learner does not achieve a full qualification, or achieves units after the qualification has been awarded, they will continue to receive an NOCN unit certificate as the current practice.

The new process will allow One Awards to significantly reduce the amount of paper that we issue resulting in a positive impact on the environment. This change will also ensure clarity for both our centres and learners as to the type of certificate that has been issued.

If your Centre delivers courses relating to NOCN’s suite of Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development qualifications, you will continue to receive a separate unit certificate due to the course name being displayed on this certificate. If your Centre does not wish to receive a unit certificate for these courses upon qualification achievement, please advise One Awards at [email protected]

If you have any questions or concerns about this change please contact us at [email protected]

One Awards has the learner at the heart of their organisation and we would highly recommend them to other providers.
