Workplace demands have changed more than ever during the last 20 months and it is crucially important that those making the transition into employment to understand how to communicate effectively and appropriately within the workplace. These transferable skills are more important now than previously due to the rapidly changing job market.
This Level 1 unit aims to develop learners’ understanding and application of communication methods and appropriate behaviours in workplace settings.
This unit, available to learners 14+ provides an ideal grounding and may be delivered to learners with varying needs in a college, school or community setting. For Apprentices, Jobseekers and also Foundation Learners, the unit will provide the valuable skills to support of their understanding of the different methods of communication and appropriate behaviour which may be demanded in their place of learning or work.
We see the unit providing valuable support to those entering or seeking to enter an Apprenticeship, a Traineeship, a Supported Internship or a Kickstart placement. Alternatively the unit may support those engaged in Study Programmes or DWP interventions.
