Diploma Validation Panel Information

All Providers seeking approval to deliver the Access to HE Diploma must apply to become a One Awards Recognised Access to HE Provider. Providers complete a Centre Recognition Application Form. You will then be contacted to arrange a meeting to discuss your plans and the next stage of the process.

The following outlines the approval process:

1. Provider completes an One Awards Access to HE Diploma Application Form, please click the title to download the form.
2. The Access to HE Manager works with you to complete a Programme Submission Document and advises on the selection of appropriate units.You will also be advised to discuss your proposals with receiving HE Institutions
3. An external peer review panel is held to validate the diploma, including Higher Education, Access provider, Moderator and other subject specialist representatives
4. The panel’s recommendations are submitted to the One Awards Access to HE Committee for consideration of formal approval
5. Once approved, Access Diplomas are uploaded to the QAA Database, giving them national recognition, and a funding code is assigned
